Act 47 of 2003 amended Section 30-1-90(B) of the Code of Laws, 1976, to eliminate the requirement that the general schedules be developed as state regulations and allows general schedules to be issued by the South Carolina Department of Archives and History (SCDAH). The revised General Records Retention Schedules were issued as of publication of the May 22, 2026 State Register repealing the previous general schedules. Please note the new general schedule numbering system.
