Reference Room hours are:
Monday – Saturday 8:45 a.m. – 4:45 p.m.

Agency office hours are:
Monday – Friday 8:30 a.m. – 5 p.m.

Q: Are you affiliated with the University of

No. The S.C. Department of Archives and History is an independent agency within South Carolina state government.

The Archives and History Center has a vending area offering snacks, soft drinks and hot coffee for its visitors. In addition, several restaurants are in the area.
